Little Fistral is a smaller, more sheltered-feeling neighbour to the main Fistral stretch, with a calmer
atmosphere and a slightly more tucked-away setting beneath the headland. It often feels less intense than
the main beach, which makes it a good choice if you want the Newquay surf vibe without quite as much space,
noise, or bustle.
For surfers, Little Fistral can be a handy option when you are looking for something a bit more manageable
or simply want a quieter paddle out. The wave shape and quality can vary with the tide and wind, but on the
right day it offers fun, workable surf that suits relaxed sessions, practising basics, and building
confidence without feeling like you need to be chasing the most powerful peak on the coast.
It is also a great beach for mixing surf with a slower coastal day. The setting is scenic and a little more
enclosed, and it has that classic north-coast feel of rocky edges, shifting light, and sets rolling in from
the Atlantic. Little Fistral suits surfers who value a more chilled line-up, enjoy exploring smaller corners
of well-known surf spots, and like the idea of keeping things simple: a short walk, a paddle out, and a few
good waves without the full intensity of the main break.

Paid parking is available at Towan Headland Car Park. The car park is only a few metres from the beach but it's fairly small and spaces fill up fast. There is some on-street parking along Headland Road.
